Over the past two decades he has represented thousands of people in criminal court. Mr. Parker is a 1978 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Law School. For thirteen years, until 1986, he was in the United States Marine Corps and spent eight of those years as a trial attorney and judge advocate. For a brief period, he was an Allegheny County assistant district attorney and has been with the public defender's office part-time since 1987. Since then he has represented the County's poor and indignent as a matter of princple despite the success of his private practice.
